Opening up new horizons of creativity after 10 years of semi-hiatus, FRAGILE ART are back with their new full-length opus THE WORLD YOU WANTED.

Let’s admit it: melodic death metal had its biggest triumphs fade away and its sound become kind of extinct language to the new generation of fans of heavy music. After about a decade of flourishing with exciting new music from all over the world came a decade of stagnation. Older gents still stick to their guns but rarely risk to refresh their views on aesthetics and sound. And that makes even die-hard fans to become annoyed at their much loved genre becomes something… dated.

Brighter creative minds tend to risk and break stereotypes. To describe the new FRAGILE ART album’s sound is a fun task, because with every next track you expect the unexpected. Tough Soilwork guitar chops mixed with hooky In Flames melodies mixed with Insomnium dreamy atmosphere may sound nothing new, nor are Iron Maiden-like lyrical pathos and Ghost-like pompous imagery... But in case with THE WORLD YOU WANTED this mix starts to boil and steam, and produce some rather inebriant fumes — at times some really weird comparisons come to mind. Some obscure Depeche Mode vibes, some Dead Can Dance ghosts, damn! — even some late Elvis poignance.

THE WORLD YOU WANTED is a piece of timeless and solid Melodic Metal you wanted. Looking behind, at the genre’s finest times, it’s filled with gratitude. Looking forward, at the genre’s future, it’s filled with vision.
